Before and After Care
BEFORE YOUR TATTOO APPOINTMENT
DO:
- Get a good night sleep the night before.
- shower or bathe before your Appointment
- Eat a meal prior to your appointment.
- Drink plenty of water the day before and the day of
- You must be 18 years old and have a Valid, Unexpired Photo I.D. (Passport, Drivers License, or a state issued Photo I.D.
- Bring comfortable clothes (Make sure the clothing is accessible to the area you are getting tattooed), headphones, phone charger whatever makes you more comfortable.
DO NOT:
- DO NOT take drugs or drink alcohol within 24 hours of your tattoo (ESPECIALLY on the day, It will not help.)
- DO NOT come to your tattoo appointment if you are getting sick or if you are already sick. If you are, please notify Me Immediately
- DO NOT come in if you are sunburnt. I wont Tattoo you if you are burnt.
- DO NOT come in for your tatttoo without eating beforehand.
- The Size of my booth and the space I need to tattoo only allows for the client and one other person in the room.
Post-Tattoo Care
Classic Aftercare: the day of your appointment I will apply a bandage that you will wear for 1-2 HOURs. When 1-2 hours have passed, wash your Hands Thoroughly, remove and dispose of the bandage(s.) Wash Affected area with warm water and Unscented Soap, after the area is clean apply a light layer of unscented lotion 2-3 times a day if possible.
Tegaderm, Derm Shield, Saniderm Aftercare: Alternatively I can apply a clear adhesive bandage over your tattoo. you will wear it for 2-4 days or until it starts feeling tight on your skin. Once that time is up you can remove Your bandage, (for better, less painful results remove in the shower.) Start by grabbing a corner of the film, then pull along your skin and away from your tattoo. Do Not submerge the bandage at any time while applied.
After the bandages are off
Continue cleaning the area with unscented Soap and unscented Lotion until healed. Minimum Heal time is 2 weeks. Please Avoid any Type of water/watersports and Excessive Sun until fully healed.
The Clear long term Bandage will fill with some Blood and Plasma, don’t panic this is a normal process with these bandages.
THE DO'S AND DONT'S OF CARING FOR YOUR TATTOO
DO:
- Always wash your hands before touching your tattoo. KEEP IT CLEAN!
- Wash your tattoo 2-3 times a day.
- Wear clean clothes and have fresh bedding while your tattoo is healing.
- Slap or pat your tattoo gently once it reaches the itchy stage.
- Let your skin flake off naturally.
- Put sunscreen on your tattoo once it has finished healing
- Use moisturiser several times a week to prolong the quality of your tattoo
- Ask if you have ANY questions about the healing process.
DO NOT:
- DO NOT touch your tattoo with without washing your hands.
- DO NOT let anybody else touch your fresh tattoo.
- DO NOT pick or scratch your tattoo.
- DO NOT wear tight clothing which will rub against your tattoo, for two weeks.
- DO NOT expose your fresh tattoo to direct sunlight for two weeks.
- DO NOT submerge new tattoo in a bath, ocean or pool or any general body of water. Until it is fully healed.
